STTR (1978)
A 529-line game with a banner in asterisks and Applesoft-like short names (RND(0)). Hopkins says it came from a Univac STTR2. Run here, as archived, on a Sol-20 profile inferred from the listing: number printing, precision, the prompt and error text are stand-ins. Its random numbers need each RND(0) to be fresh; about one random game in five ends in a subscript error after a long warp leaves the galaxy (the game itself reports quadrant 7, 12), which may be the original's own bug or a detail the stand-in profile gets wrong.
Lineage
A Univac STTR2, by Hopkins' own account. (someone's recollection)
