Super Star Trek (1978)
You command the starship Enterprise, hunting a fleet of Klingon warships across an 8×8 galaxy of quadrants before the stardates run out. This is the 1978 microcomputer edition: the whole game is one BASIC program, printed on paper as text, with no graphics.
Lineage
Leedom's Super Star Trek (1974), which came from Ahl's SPACWR, itself from Mayfield's HP game. (someone's recollection)
- Leedom changed nearly everything but the two scans: three-letter commands, roaming Klingons, crew reports, course calculator, quadrant names.
- Borders converted it to Microsoft 8K BASIC (March 1978); this page is a transcription of the book's printing (16 May 1978).
- Developers
- Mike Mayfield (original, HP 2000C, 1972); Bob Leedom (Super Star Trek, 1974); David Ahl (Creative Computing); John Borders (Microsoft 8K conversion, 1978)
